Dr Johan Kriek, wildlife veterinarian and owner along with the rest of the family, has been in the wildlife industry since the early 1980’s and their passion for conservation is infectious. The farm was bought in 1991 and developed as a breeding area for rare antelope species and it was only in 2006 that Mattanu opened its doors to the public as an eco tourism destination.
